Drive from Calgary: For a spectacularly scenic drive, take the Highway 22 (Cowboy Trail) then onto AB Hwy 3 east and AB Hwy 6 south. It’s about a 3-hour drive.
Drive from Edmonton: It’s about a 5 ½-hour drive south on the AB-2 S.
Drive from Regina: It’s about a 6-hour drive west on the Trans-Canada Hwy/SK-1 W.
Morning – There are quite a few places in Waterton for a light or heartier breakfast.
With an full-on outdoorsy day ahead, you’ll want to stop for coffee and breakfast. You have quite a few choices, here are three to consider: Larkspur Café, Trappers Mountain Grill or Waffleton.
Mid-morning – Check in with Hike Waterton to make the most of your outdoor adventures with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. They offer nature walks, interpretive hikes, wildflower hikes and shuttle service. Some of the hikes they offer include Valley Panorama Lookout, Red Rock Parkway and Bellevue Trailhead.
