3 places to find Zen in Southern BC and Alberta
The hustle and bustle of daily life can be overwhelming at times, so finding somewhere quiet is a must. Fortunately, there are a number of beautiful and peaceful gardens and spaces to escape to in Southern Alberta and BC where you can simply relax. Here is a look at our top 3:
1) Nikka Yuko Gardens in Lethbridge, AB
Kasugai Japanese Gardens in Kelowna is a gorgeous place. The garden was completed in 1987 to demonstrate the friendship and union between Kelowna and its sister city in Kasugai, Japan. The park integrates traditional elements notable in Japanese gardens, such as stone lanterns, pine trees, waterfalls and a pond stocked with Koi.

3) Elizabeth Lake Bird Sanctuary in Cranbrook, BC
Elizabeth Lake Sanctuary is where many visitors start their exploring hiking, birding, picnicking and sightseeing when visiting Cranbrook, BC in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The park is a 6 hectare wildlife reserve consisting of wetlands, grasslands, a lake and forest popular for birdwatching, wildlife viewing, hiking, biking, jogging and dog walking.
